OUR HOMELESS are they FIXED or BROKEN

Homelessness is a nationwide epidemic. And the reality of the situation is that many of the homeless are actually innocent, unsupervised children and veterans who proudly served their country.

In 2001, a study was conducted by the U.S. Conference of Mayors and found that in 27 cities, 25.3% of the homeless population were children under 18. Another study done in 2000 by the Urban Institute proclaimed that 39% of the homeless nationwide are children.

And according to a study done in 2003 by the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, 33% of homeless men are veterans. This is an astonishing figure considering that veterans make up only 23% of the entire adult male population. And every night, there are an estimated 300,000 homeless veterans.

The homeless are people and they should not be ignored simply because they have no place to call home.
